Jesus said to him, “ ‘You should love the Lord your God
with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength.’ This is the
first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You
shall love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ On these hang
all of the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22:36-40)
COMMUNITY
It is our goal at CCS to develop students who recognize that personal
strengths and abilities are gifts from God. These gifts should be used
for God’s glory, the good of the local church, and the community
at large. Thus, consistently serving others provides many opportunities:
at the school, in our connections with home, and through regular dealings
with both local and international communities. Service is an important
component of CCS program. The evidences of love, peace, patience, kindness,
gentleness, and self-control are to characterize the life of the CCS
student, thereby blessing those with whom the students have contact.
CHRISTIAN
The goal of Christian Education is to represent Jesus Christ to students
and families. The transforming power of Jesus Christ and the reality
of the Holy Spirit are to be clearly seen in every facet of the school.
The entire sixty-six books of the Bible, God’s Holy Word, are
presented as the only reliable and infallible revelation of God, His
nature, His supreme authority, and His active involvement in all of
creation. His redeeming purposes reveal a holy will for all people.
Discerning His holy will and those who lead and teach at Community Christian
School understand making it known as a key facet. While at CCS, students
will experience a variety of opportunities to strengthen or develop
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As this relationship is nurtured,
through the school and local church, the student will be transformed
through God’s Holy Spirit and will demonstrate a life of faith,
being conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ.
SCHOOL
The principal purpose of Community Christian School is to provide a
program of educational excellence set in a positive Christian atmosphere.
Courses of study, developed in reverence to God’s Word, are taught
in a Christ-centered, truly patriotic manner. These courses utilize
relevant materials and technology; these curricula acknowledge state-mandated
academic standards and strive to exceed them. Students will be challenged
through these expectations intellectually, physically, emotionally,
and spiritually by a curriculum, which clearly teaches an integrated
biblical worldview.
